Senior Pastor

Jeremy Pickens was born in Eastern Oregon and was graciously saved by Jesus at a young age. As he grew up in the church, the son of a pastor, God grew his love for Jesus Christ and for the local church. Jeremy pursued his love and passion for the Lord as he attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. He also met his wife Jennie at Moody, and they married shortly after his graduation in 1999. God led Jeremy and Jennie to Grand Rapids, MI, where Jeremy served in an Associate Pastor role in a local church while completing his seminary training at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. In 2004, Valley Community Church in Pleasanton, CA called Jeremy to be Pastor of Adult Ministries. During his years of service there, God deepened Jeremy’s love for the Bible and grew in him a passion for preaching and teaching, calling him to make preaching the primary focus of his ministry. In the summer of 2008, Jeremy answered that call to come serve as Senior Pastor of Good Shepherd Bible Church. He loves to preach verse-by-verse through books of the Bible with a special emphasis upon applying God’s truth to our everyday lives.
