Starting January 26th, the Men’s Forge will start a weekly study of the Book of Malachi. Come join the Men of the Forge either Friday morning at 6:30 AM or Monday night at 7:00 PM.
God, through the prophet Malachi, rebuked His people for denying His unchanging love, having halfhearted worship, rejecting His faithfulness, redefining righteousness, robbing Him of what is due Him and in general looking at God for what they could get rather than serve Him for who He is. It was a time where vibrant faith was rare, and crippling doubt was common. It was an era in which people were more often than not weary in spiritual things, eager to embrace the easy way out, and careless and casual about the commandments of the LORD God. Sound familiar?
“The parallels between that time and our own are easy enough to see if we care to look. As the people of that generation were called to live on the basis of the Word of God without miraculous confirmations of the truth of that Word, so are we. As they awaited the promise of the Messiah’s first coming, so we await the promise of his second coming. And as their faith often flickered and their performance often faltered, so do ours…We can heed that call and live in the faith for which he called.” ~ Roger Ellsworth
In a world where God is made small, come and see how big our God is through the words of the prophet Malachi.
“For I the LORD do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed” ~ Malachi 3:6

The Evangelistic Zeal of George Whitfield by Dr. Steven Lawson
Called the “Grand Itinerant” for his unprecedented preaching ministry, Whitefield crossed the Atlantic Ocean numerous times and lit fires of revival on two continents. Yet, as Dr. Steven J. Lawson illustrates in this latest entry in the Long Line of Godly Men Profiles series, we must note that Whitefield was a man whose extraordinary evangelistic fervor was marked by remarkable piety and deep theology, and whose unswerving devotion to his God led him to risk all that he had to preach the name of Christ.
