Commissioning Service

There will be a Commissioning Service for Kathleen Long on Sunday, September 15th at 6:00 PM here at GSCC.   Please plan attending as we send her out to serve Christ in Bangladesh.  Following the service, there will be a reception.

Ladies Craft Night

Ladies, you are invited to come to a Craft Night on Friday, September 6 at 7 PM. Bring a craft you would like to work on.  Leslie Hnosko will be there to answer any quilting questions you have to follow up on the quilting event.  Bring a friend and a snack to share. Young ladies are welcome too!  If you have questions please contact the church office or Jennie Pickens.

The Man Christ Jesus – Mini Conference

The Gospel Coalition Pastors Group of Whatcom County Presents:

Ware_Mini_ConfTheologian Bruce Ware will be presenting “The Man Christ Jesus: Theological Reflections on the Humanity of Christ.” Join brothers and sisters from churches throughout Whatcom County for this stimulating time of teaching and fellowship.

Session 1: Jesus’ Life, Ministry, and Miracles, as a Man in the Power of the Spirit

Session 2: Jesus’ Resisting Temptation and Growth in Faith as a Man in the Power of the Spirit

Fossil Field Trip

As a follow up to the Bible Class on Creation, Jim Lucas will be leading a field trip August 31th where you can see actual fossils up close.  The trip will be from 8:30am – 5:30pm.  The cost will be $3 to cover materials and hand-outs.  For more details and sign ups, please contact Jim.
