The apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans is widely regarded as his finest work.  At the center of that book lies chapter 8, in which the author calls “the best chapter in the Bible”.  In these pages, Dr Thomas leads his readers step by step through this remarkable chapter of Scripture, unfolding the way stations along the Christian journey and uncovering profound exhortations and reassurances for God’s people.

The cost of the book is $11 or you may check it out from the shelf outside the office.

Commissioning Service

There will be a Commissioning Service for Kathleen Long on Sunday, September 15th at 6:00 PM here at GSCC.   Please plan attending as we send her out to serve Christ in Bangladesh.  Following the service, there will be a reception.

Ladies Craft Night

Ladies, you are invited to come to a Craft Night on Friday, September 6 at 7 PM. Bring a craft you would like to work on.  Leslie Hnosko will be there to answer any quilting questions you have to follow up on the quilting event.  Bring a friend and a snack to share. Young ladies are welcome too!  If you have questions please contact the church office or Jennie Pickens.
